About Manor Park Malvern

Situated near the centre of the beautiful Victorian Spa Town of Great Malvern, Manor Park offers sports enthusiasts of all ages and standards unrivalled facilities and social activities.

' A document entitled 'A short History of Manor Park, Malvern'

(17 A4 pages) is available from the Club at £2 inc. postage. Please send your cheque (or stamps to the value of) to the Hon Treasurer, Manor Park Club.'

Sporting activities have been taking place at Manor Park for over 100 years. In the early 1920's the site was placed under a Trust by Lady Catherine Grey to be used for sport and recreation by the people of Malvern and surrounding areas. Day-to-day activities are now run by two self-financing organisations, Manor Park Club and MACIT (Malvern and County Indoor Tennis). The Club runs all activities except indoor tennis. Both organisations are answerable to the board of Trustees.

The last 15 years have seen a major expansion of the sporting facilities, assisted by grants and loans from various bodies, including the Malvern Hills District Council, Sport England (Lottery) and the Lawn Tennis Association.

In addition to the sports facilities detailed on other pages there are excellent social facilities including a bar, kitchen and dining area.

Manor Park Club and MACIT are both non-profit making organisations, whose day-to-day activities are financed entirely from members subscriptions and fees.
